We can't wait to meet you!!!

Madeline Claire!!!
We are so excited to be getting a daughter!!! I can't believe how real it feels once you know what you are going to be parenting. I will give you this basics from my appointment and get back to my overwhelming giddiness!!!
They have moved my date AGAIN!!! But luckily for that nurse they are going the right direction to avoid a beating! My new due date is July 6th! Meaning that I am half way done! I can't believe it...It seems to have taken forever...I guess when you are counting down each day of puking, the days go slower. She is looking healthy and happy and is in no way camera shy as you can see from the pics below. She really seems to like looking directly at the camera which makes Mom and Dad happy :) I was also happy to hear the words "farther along" and "small baby". The early on scare of twins based on how fast I got as big as I was quickly turned to people looking at my teaddy bear husband asking "So was Ben a big baby???" Luckily his Mom said that he was under 8lbs and I knew that I was 7lbs. 2oz. but there was always that chance of a gargantuous baby..Scary for any first time (or anytime) labor thoughts :) I have felt very faint movements mostly when I am laying on my side and the nurse said that was to be expected for a few more weeks since she is on the smaller side. well enough jibber jabber...lets see some pictures!!! Madeline...we can't wait to meet you!

Madeline's face. I have turned the picture so she is looking at you right side up. You can see (from top to bottom) Her brain, two eyes and her nose, and her lower jaw.

This one is kind of freaky looking...but she is yawning! It was pretty cool. The Radiologist was recording the session and rewound it so we could watch her movements like a movie. She stretched, yawned, closed her mouth and snuggled back up. It was really neat to see her move like a little person.

Here is a picture of her hand! It is like she is ready to come play with everyone...Looks like she s knocking on my tummy!!! Her thumb is out to the side and you can see all four fingers and the bottom of her palm.

Here you can see her feet! One is definately more prominent (maybe she will be goofy-footed for snow and wakeboarding :) You can see her toes and the balls of her feet and her heels!

This is probably my favorite! Maybe it was all those years as a Chiro assistant looking at X-rays but I just love the full body profile! She is looking down and you can see where her ears are and very faintly (on the scan) her jaw lines. On the actual photo you can also see her round little bum and the bottoms of her legs extending forward. It is so cool!

So it's been a while....

I'm 19 weeks today! Yeah!!! It seems like it is taking forever...Unfortunately I am STILL THROWING UP! Not as often but more often than I would like! Mostly in the morning - my way of starting the day off right! We find out Friday if it will be Madeline or Carter and we are so excited! All I can say is that it is a good thing we got a morning appointment or I would be completely useless all day! I am sooo impatient it is kind of ridiculous! I felt the baby for the first time this week! I was sitting on the couch with a pillow on my tummy and the baby totally pushed against the inside like they didn't want the pillow with my fat heavy arms resting on them! It was awesome! Then yesterday at work I had a totally stupid moment...I was washing my hands and all of a sudden I thought to myself "I feel wierd right now...What's going on?" Then I realized that something was moving, sort of "swimming" in my stomach. I was like Duh! It was really cool...I just can't wait for Ben to be able to feel it!

The house is coming along. We have the baby's room done as much as it can be without knowing if it will be brown and blue or brown and pink...

Ben is awesome! He has remodled the whole thing practically by himself. All I have done is paint! He is so talented (which saves us alot of much needed southern California cash!) All we have left are the baseboards and the carpeting. I almost can't believe my fingers when I read that...It has been a year long project and we are still not done but progress is definately evident!

Our room is also coming along although not quite as far. We have the closet rebuilt and Ben is almost done with all of the electrical and plumbing. We (I mean Ben) have put in canned lights and made it actually look like a functional room :) We should have it primed, textured and possibly painted by the end of the month! I can't wait! A year in the living room has been interesting to say the least...

That is about all the happenings down here so I will try to post a pic of my tummy soon :) For some reason I seem to be on the other side of the camera most of the time...mysterious ;)
