February Part 2

I really need to post more often!!! I am like 2 months behind!!! Ahhhh! Now you can all see that I am late in every aspect of my life...not just getting places!
Anyways, so after "poop in a bag" and a 13 hour drive south from the frozen tundra, Corrie, the girls, Madie and I were in San Diego!!! We missed Ben so much and I am pretty sure he missed us too! He loves the Huish family and was excited that they were going to be here for two weeks of fun! We didn't DO to much but it still felt busy! We made curtains for the living room and Madie's room and ate mexican food and walked to the park almost every day! But the best thing we did I thought was celebrate Corrie's 29th (heehee) birthday at Disneyland which also happened to be Madie's first time! We also went to California Adventure the next weekend when Dave was here. It was really fun! I have posted some pictures of, Disneyland, Cali Advent. and the park so I hope you enjoy...give me a week and I will post some pictures of the new look in my living room!!! Thanks again Corrie for all that you did to help me! I COULD NOT have done it without you!!! P.S. Let's start planning trip #2!!!

Sorry Elle...

Ok. This is still part of the February trip but it totally deserved it's own post...While I was in Utah, I got to babysit a few times for Dave and Corrie so they could go out and Corrie could get some of her decorating jobs finished. One fine afternoon, I was doing this very thing and the girls were playing downstairs in the playroom while I rested on the couch upstairs. "They will be fine, just relax until I get back" were the words Corrie left me with...and that's what I was doing until I heard Mae say in her sqeaky little voice, "Elle!!! Why did you POOP in that?!? You're not supposed to POOP in that!!!" I'm pretty sure there was a record needle scratch in my head as I thought, "Did she just say POOP???" So I got up and walked to the top of the stairs and asked, "Mae, did someone poop down there?" She replied, "Yea, Elle did..." I know there is no bathroom down there and my mind began racing through all the different scenarios I would encounter upon getting down there...NOTHING could've prepared me...As I get to the bottom of the stairs, I see Mae taking "something" from Elle...It's a SNACK-SIZE ZIPLOCK BAG WITH A STEAMING HOT TURD IN IT!!! I know what your thinking and no, I'm not kidding. I took the bag which had been neatly sealed closed by Mae and dumbfoundedly asked, "Is that real poop?!?" I couldn't believe it... "Yea, it's Elle's." That was all Mae could say about it. I knew there must be more poop somewhere because how could a 2 1/2 year old "catch" her own poop in a snack size bag without making a mess right? WRONG!!! This girl CAUGHT her own poop in a snack-size bag without getting ANY POOP ANYWHERE ELSE!!! A miracle poop-tastrophe! That's all you can all it! Needless to say, Elle will be a great camping wife for some lucky fellow...that is, IF she can live this down and get a date someday! But this had to be told and shared with anyone and everyone!!! And so, I'm sorry Elle!!!
