The Most Awesome Baby Shower

I have written in the past about my girlfriends Nani, Nikki and Karina. We have been friends since elementry school and all through high school and still today we get together for more fun than girls SHOULD have together. But I cannot say enough about these girls and the baby shower they and Erin threw for Madeline and I. It was awesome!!! They seriously went all out! I still need to get some pictures of the room in it's entirety because I can't even begin to describe it. There was not one detail left undone, it was amazing! I couldn't have asked for anything more! So from the bottom of my heart, thank you guys for a most awesome baby shower!!!

The brown, pink and green balloons were held down by these cute weights

Erin still smiling after the mad rush set up in 100 degree weather!!!

The tables had these cute polka dot covers on them and all the drinks were served in fancy champagne flutes

My first roomie Annie made these super cute "Mary Janes" as favors...They had Hershey Kisses in them and they were sooo cute! Thanks Annie!!!

Here they are up close and personal...I seriously thought these were adorable!!!

This was the least fattening cake I ever saw!!! It is made entirely out of diapers, pacifires and there were even baby spoons in there! A much more useful cake for sure! So much for "once on the lips forever on the hips"! Madeline will only have these on her little hips for a short time!

Here I am in all my pregnant glory! I was 33 weeks here.

Believe it or not, I am pretty sure Annie and Bev WERE having a good time...They just really wanted to win Baby Bingo...

This is my future son in law Henry...He is sooo cute!! Hope Madeline agrees!

Seriously look at his face! It is so cute!

Me (and all my chins) opening presents :) Seriously my neck has like 3 layers!!! What the crap!

This was a toally cute gift from my friend Karina...It was a clothes line with really cute onsies, dresses and a little bathing suit on it!

Auntie Ashley practicing with Brelynn...she is going to be awesome!

Walking the walk...

I have been waiting for something fun to post about and I gotta be honest...I had nada! Until today! 2 weeks ago the San Diego crew got together to support Parkinson's. There are multiple Beach family members that have it and recently an uncle on my mom's side was diagnosed as well so helping to fight parkinson's was very personal for our family. We had a great time! The walk was a 5K which is about 3.2 miles. I didn't totally finish the walk but I DID walk about 2.8 miles so I think I did good. I stayed with my dad mostly since he was on my pace :) I gotta say - walking 2.8 miles is not that easy...you get tired, thirsty and winded - well at least I do. But trying to do it while you are 7 months prego is a whole different story!!! I was winded before we even started! Man am I out of shape! I can't wait to push a stroller and increase the nonexsistant stamina I currently possess...Maybe next year I will be walking the WHOLE walk :)

Our current total raised is $2485.00!!!

But you can still help!!! You can still donate to help Parkinson's by going here:

Thanks!!!

My internal battle...

I know that sounds deep and insightful, but I thought under the circumstances it was a good title. Madeline has been moving alot lately and man do I feel it on the inside! I can tell that she likes certain positions already...(thanks for clueing mom in sweetie) and I have no doubts that she will probably enjoy those same positions once she gets here. She already seems to be very independent. If I lay on my side, she flips around until she is right side up. Apparently she does not like to "stand on her head". Not that I blame her...who does??? She also likes to lay with her back against my lower abdomen almost facing my back which makes for the weirdest feeling! Escpecially when my keyboard at work bumps up against it...Although I feel her move mostly at night, I am confident that her sleep patterns will change and she will throughly enjoy sleeping through the night once she gets here!!! Ha Ha yeah right!!! A girl can hope can't she? Until then, I am enjoying maybe the least stressful internal battle ever!!!
